But all in all, I would say this is good stuff in small doses. I am interested to see if it helps with my 1qt per 1100 miles oil consumption issue. The bottle says it "eliminates dry starts which is the #1 cause of new engine wear" and THAT claim certainly seems to be true. ![]() However, this morning after the car sat all night I fired her up and guess what, NO NOISE! No knock, no ticks, just fired up quiet as a kitten and also my red oil light went off almost immediately instead of staying on while the oil pressure builds. Oh, it might be a tad smoother, but that is likely placebo and I have no facts to back that up so we will say it did "nothing". And despite claims of increased gas mileage and power, I felt nothing. Nothing happened, car didn't blow up or anything. I chose to use about 1/2 a qt in my normal 7qts. The bottle says add 1qt of stabilizer for every 4qts oil. It has the consistency of the mobil 15w50 I used to put in my 323 in the summer. One thing I like about this stuff vs regular oil stabilizer is that it is no where near as thick. It isn't like it would blow my car up anyways, despite what a lot of "internet experts" will lead you to believe. If any of you have seen the little gears in oil display at an auto parts store, you know that this stuff helps oil climb and I thought, "what the hell". And while the car still runs like a top, I figured this can't be good. Also, my red oil light seems to stay on for what seems like an eternity during this process. The problem I am trying to resolve is that after my ZHP sits overnight or for more than a few hours, when I start it up I can actually hear the lifters knock for a few agonizing seconds until the oil finally gets up top. All based on these little trolls own ideas of what it does and nothing really based in fact. I didn't find much and what I did find was typical internet hoodlum crap of "it foams your oil" or "BMW's don't need it" or "you are in idiot noob" kinda stuff. So I felt the need to post this because I spent a lot of time yesterday looking for reviews of this product for a BMW. ![]()
